1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of cookinsure.com and your relationship with Cook Insurance as a prospective or current client. By using our website, requesting a quote, or working with us, you agree to these Terms.

2. Who We Are - Independent Insurance Agency

Cook Insurance is an independent insurance agency, not an insurance company. We do not underwrite policies, and we do not decide whether to approve or deny coverage or a claim. Our role is to help you compare coverage options across our network of more than 40 A-rated carriers and to help you apply for and service the policy you choose. Final decisions about coverage, pricing, and claims are made by the insurance carrier, not by Cook Insurance.

Cook Insurance holds Arizona insurance producer license #659942, and is also licensed in Utah, Idaho, and California.

3. Quotes Are Not a Guarantee of Coverage

Any quote we provide is an estimate based on the information available at the time. A quote is not a binding offer of insurance and does not guarantee that coverage will be issued, or at what price. Coverage only takes effect once a carrier approves your application and issues a policy.

4. Accuracy of Your Information

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information when requesting a quote or applying for coverage. If information you provide turns out to be incorrect or incomplete, and this leads to a claim being denied, coverage being reduced, or a policy being voided or cancelled by the carrier, responsibility for that outcome rests with you, not with Cook Insurance.

5. No Separate Broker Fees

Cook Insurance does not charge you a separate fee for our services. We are compensated through commissions paid by the insurance carriers we place coverage with.

6. Purchasing Coverage

You cannot purchase or bind an insurance policy directly through cookinsure.com. Every policy is set up through a conversation with one of our licensed agents, by phone or in person, to make sure your coverage is set up correctly.

7. Member Portal

Our website includes a members area where existing clients can view their policy documents. You are responsible for keeping any login details for the portal secure, and for any activity that occurs using your login.

8. Claims Assistance

If you need to file a claim, contact us and we will help you document and submit it to the carrier correctly. The decision to approve, deny, or pay a claim is made entirely by the insurance carrier, not by Cook Insurance.

9. Minors

We do not interact directly with anyone under the age of 18. If a minor needs to be added to a policy - for example, a teenage driver - a parent or legal guardian must handle all communication, decisions, and paperwork with our agency on the minor's behalf.

10. Third-Party Links and Partners

Our website links to third-party services, including carrier payment portals and our Mexico auto insurance partner, Mexipass. Once you leave cookinsure.com to use one of these services, that provider's own terms and privacy practices apply. Cook Insurance is not responsible for the content, security, or practices of third-party websites.

11. Website Use

You agree to use cookinsure.com only for lawful purposes. You may not use the site to submit false information, attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site, or interfere with its normal operation.

12. Complaints About Our Agency

If you have a concern about the service you received from Cook Insurance - as opposed to a concern about your carrier or your coverage - contact Steven Wade directly at 480-986-1163 or info@cookinsure.com, and he will personally address it with you.

13. Limitation of Liability

Our website and the information on it are provided for general informational purposes. Cook Insurance is not liable for damages or losses arising from your use of this website, your reliance on general information provided on it, or delays or errors beyond our reasonable control. This section does not limit any responsibility that cannot lawfully be limited under Arizona law.

14. Intellectual Property

The content on cookinsure.com, including text, images, and logos, belongs to Cook Insurance or its licensors and may not be copied or reused without our permission, other than for your own personal, non-commercial use.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to its conflict of law rules.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on cookinsure.com.
